About
Meet Your Mental Performance Department
Founded by Dr. Sarah Giasullo, South Shore Sport Psych pairs doctoral-level expertise with a growing team of coaches — so every athlete, team, and school gets the right level of support.
Dr. Sarah Giasullo
Founder & Director — PhD, CMPC, ATC, CSCS
Dr. Giasullo is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) and sport injury specialist devoted to helping athletes and performers of all ages unlock their potential through mental skills. A former Division I and Division II collegiate soccer player — she earned a DI scholarship before transferring — she knows firsthand what it takes to compete, adapt, and grow through the highs and lows of sport.
Her specialty spans the full athlete journey: building confidence and composure in competition, recovering physically and mentally from injury, navigating college recruiting and the transition to college, and carrying performance skills into life beyond sport. Her approach is holistic — mind, body, spirit — the ethos behind SSSP's motto: Tougher Minds. Stronger Bodies. Better People.
Dr. Giasullo is a professor at Lasell University, where she serves as Assistant Provost for the School of Health Sciences, Graduate Program Chair of Health Sciences, and teaches in the Master of Science in Athletic Training program. She holds a PhD in Sport and Exercise Psychology, an MS in Exercise Science, a BS in Athletic Training, and a BA in Spanish — alongside CSCS, FMS Level 1, and Precision Nutrition (Pn1) certifications, and credentials as a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor.
She founded South Shore Sport Psych to bring elite-level mental skills opportunities to youth and college athletes — helping them reach their potential on and off the field. She stays rooted in that community as a youth sports board member and coach on the South Shore.

Why "Sport Psych for Everyone"

How It Works
Assess. Plan. Train. Perform.
Book online. Your intake packet arrives automatically, covering goals, sport history, and (for minors) guardian consent.
A mental skills assessment across confidence, focus, arousal regulation, motivation, and resilience identifies your priority areas.
Your coach builds a personalized plan with concrete skills, drills, and between-session training targets.
Regular sessions build the skills; periodic re-assessment shows measurable progress to you, your parents, and your coaches.
